Why The Pandemic Isn’t Affecting Me Financially
For most people, the pandemic has hit their wallets hard. People can hardly pay their bills. I am not one of those people, but it’s not for the reason you think.
You are probably thinking the pandemic isn’t effecting me financially because I’m rich, and I live in a big mansion somewhere. Nope.
I’m poor. In fact, in my state I’m considered to live below poverty standards for the amount of money I bring in every year. And yet I have everything I need, and even some things I want.
I’m sure the question in your mind right now is, how can that be possible?
Despite the doubts tumbling around in your head, let me assure you, it is true. My family has always been on the poor side. As a child I learned how to get by with very little. My mom was great at making a good hearty meal from practically nothing. She taught me how to manage my money, so I would always be able to pay bills.
Thankfully, my husband thinks the same way I do, and we have been able to have a good life.
Everything we have is paid for. We built our own house, and put every extra dime we had into paying off the land we bought. We were able to do it within three years. Now keep in mind it was only land we bought, so it was fairly cheap.
