What Mom Really Wants For Mothers Day
Mothers day is fast approaching. You’re probably sitting around scratching your head trying to figure out what mom would want for Mother’s Day.
What mom wants can’t be bought in a store. It’s really not that complicated. Mom wants one thing. Time!
Time is given differently at different stages of motherhood.
I have a young son. So for me, the time I want is “me time”. I want time to myself, to just relax and not have to get up every two minutes because someone needs something. I want to be able to sit down, read a book, or even take a nap. Naps are great!
As the kids get older, you may want more family time. Between work, school, and after-school activities, it may start to feel like you hardly do anything together as a family anymore. Having a day where you all do something together can brighten a mother’s day. Plan a picnic, play a game, go for a hike. There are so many things you could do to spend good quality family time together.
Once all the kids have grown up and leave home, all Mom really wants is for you to come to visit. With a family of your own now, it can be difficult to find time to spend with your mom. Take an hour and forget about everything else and just go spend it with your mom.
What mom wants is to be loved and appreciated. So go give her a hug, wash the dishes, and don’t forget to tell her how much you love her!
