Organizing Your Thoughts For More Productivity
Your brain can become overwhelmed with too many thoughts. When that happens, your productivity drops.
Think of your brain as a big human-computer, it can only process so much information at a time, or it crashes. With an overloaded brain, you are more likely to forget important details, deadlines, and things you need. The quality of your work will suffer as well, so you must take time to empty and organize your mind every day.
I’m sure you are thinking, how in the world do I organize my mind? It’s not that hard to do, here are some tips to make it easy.
Start by finding a quiet time that works for you. For me, I get time first thing in the morning and at night after everyone goes to bed. Organizing your mind twice a day is ideal, but if you only get a chance to do it once, that’s better than no time at all.
It doesn’t matter what time you choose as long as your consistent. So pick a time that works all the time, not just some of the time.
Next, pick what method you will use to record everything with. I like a good old notebook and pen, but you can use a notebook app on your phone or computer. Whatever works best for you, just make sure it’s quick and easily accessible.
