Leave My Culture Alone!
Culture is a part of who we are as people. So why do so many people want to destroy southern culture?
The answer is because most of them don’t understand it.
The southern flag right now is a big southern culture thing the black people are trying to get taken away. As a matter of fact, they are trying to take away anything that has to do with the south or the civil war.
In the county over from the one I live in, they have a school, and their team name is the Rebels. Now, black people want them to change that. The school sports team has been called that since the fifties.
They claim it’s racist, and we all know that if they play the racist card they can get just about anything they want.
I have watched for the last few years as they have called statues of Robert E. Lee and other Confederate generals racist. Their solution is to tear them down. Well, because black lives matter supporters said it’s racist, they got torn down.
If a historical statue of a confederate general offends you, don’t look at it. It’s called history, you can’t erase it people. Stop trying.
Let’s get back to the attack on the southern flag. I think it’s a misunderstood symbol of southern pride. Most people are out there screaming it’s racist. If you don’t know what the southern…
