How to Reduce and Control Your Anger

Anger is a very powerful emotion. It can sneak up on you when you least expect it. Anger, like any other emotion, is normal. But when your anger gets out of control, a whole lot of problems occur.

Unchecked anger can be detrimental to your health. It can cause high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, migraines, and even insomnia, just to name a few. So it’s important to get control and stay in control of your anger.

Here are a few simple things you can do to reduce your anger and keep control.

What you eat matters

Some days you may feel calm, and other days you’re just restless. A lot of that has to do with the foods you eat. I know it’s hard to believe that food can affect your emotions, but it does. Spicy and oily foods tend to bring tension to your mind and body, making you quick to lash out in anger. Eating a healthy diet will help with outbursts of anger.

Get your sleep

We all know sleep is important. Not getting a good six to eight hours every day, can put stress on your mind and body, making you irritable and more likely get angry.
