Habits For Happiness

Positive daily habits can help you be happier. Happiness is a state of mind. If you make good daily habits that reflect positiveness, you can become happier.

Smile!

We smile when we are happy. But did you know that smiling can make you happy? It releases dopamine into your brain that makes you happy, so start making it a daily habit to smile and you might just see yourself becoming happier.

Exercise.

Believe it or not, exercise reduces stress, feelings of anxiety, and depression while boosting self-esteem and happiness. Exercise is not only good for you physically but emotionally and mentally as well. Even just a five minute stretch in the morning can set your day on the right track.

Eat for your mood.

We all know that certain food choices can impact our physical health, but did you know that what you eat can affect your mood too?

Carbohydrates release a feel-good hormone which can boost your mood if you’re feeling down. Just keep the simple carbs — sugars and starches- to a minimum. Lean meats, poultry, and dairy release dopamine which increases energy and concentration. Try to avoid deep-fried foods as they tend to drag your mood down.
