Branches clawed at my arms as I rushed through the woods. Wet leaves, slick beneath my feet, made it hard to run. I slipped, my knees crashing into the hard ground.
I sucked in a deep breath, biting my lower lip to keep from crying out as pain shot up my leg. I scrambled back to my feet, limping as I continued to try and run.
