Ebook Versus Real Book

The pros and cons for both.

I personally am a big fan of real books. There is just something about holding a book in your hand. The smell, the feel. You don’t get that with an eBook. You can’t touch the pages or hear that wonderful sound as you turn the page.

Don’t get me wrong I like reading eBooks too, just not as much as a hardcover or paperback.

So what are the benefits of a real book or an eBook? Well I’m glad you asked.

eBooks are thinner and easier to carry around. You can carry multiple books with just one device, so if you get bored with one you can just pick another. Pretty handy if you are flying, or traveling by bus and want to bring something along to read. You can have multiple books at your fingertips.

Despite all the good things that come with eBooks I still prefer my real books.

There is nothing better than picking up that paperback, or hardcover and actually feeling the weight of it in your hands. Flipping through the pages, and getting a whiff of that book smell. You don’t get that from an eBook.

Depending on what kind of eBook you read, you may see a bunch of links that can distract you. Real books don’t have that.

When you have a real book you have a used book market and used book shops. Don’t you just…
