DANGER IN THE WOODS

Sandra slowly opened her eyes, her head was pounding. She struggled to remember what happened. Looking around, she tried to figure out where she was. The room was dark except for a slight glow coming from under the door. The last thing she remembered was a man in a van asking for directions.

Her mind felt foggy but she was starting to remember bits and pieces. She could remember walking up to the van, and the back door flying open. Drugged, they must have drugged her with something. She vaguely remembered her mouth and nose being covered by a rag or something. If they did use some kind of drug, it would explain why she was having trouble clearing the fog from her brain.

She ran her hands all along the wall hoping to find some way to escape, a hole or window, but there was nothing. It only took her three steps to get from one side to the other.

Her chest was starting to feel tight an all too familiar sign that a panic attack was starting. Small places always frightened her. The thought of being trapped was taking over her senses she had to get out! It was getting harder to breath. She couldn’t take a deep breath, fear was consuming her. She had to calm down. Count slowly…
