Conquer Your Fear Of Public Speaking

A lot of people are afraid to speak in public. If you feel this way, rest assured you are not alone. I to was terrified of standing up in front of a group of strangers and speaking. My heart would race, my hands got sweaty. It was the worst thing in the world.

Now, I can speak in public without really giving it a second thought. Do I still get nervous? Sure, anytime you have to get up in front of people and talk it’s nerve-racking. I’m always worried I’m going to do or say something stupid. But each time I get done with my speech and nothing major happens, it just gives me more confidence to be able to do it again.

Here are some things that helped me concur my fear of public speaking

Keep it simple

The first few times you give a speech, keep it simple. Use simple words that you won’t stumble over. Keep your sentences short. Don’t try to cram too much into your speech. Just keep to the basics.

Take it slow

You don’t have to rush through your speech. It’s okay to pause every few sentences to collect your thoughts and keep yourself on track.

Film yourself

I know it sounds silly to film yourself giving your speech, but it actually helps. Filming yourself allows you to see any…
