Chase Away Self Doubt

Self doubt can be a very persuasive voice, holding you back from seizing your opportunities.

So how do you overcome those times of self doubt?

The first thing you have to do is tell self doubt NO. It’s not easy, but when you start having those feeling tell yourself “I’m not going down that road.” This will help disrupt your doubt thought pattern and stop some of that inner self doubt.

Look back on past experiences and think about all the times you doubted yourself. How many times did those negative things you thought actually happen. For most people the answer is hardly ever. Self doubt is like a monster in your head keeping you trapped in your comfort zone.

Talk to someone about your doubt. Bringing your self doubt to the surface can help you deal with it. I write down all the negative things that could happen for whatever situation I’m dealing with. It helps me see how silly and unrealistic some of my doubting thoughts are.

If writing things done helps you, you could start a journal. Journaling can help you keep a realistic record of events in your life. Write down all the positive events that happened and the negative. Just don’t spend too much time on the negative. Writing things down can help you gain clarity and alleviate some of your fears and doubt.
