Be Kind To Yourself
You only have one body and one mind, so be kind to it.
It’s easy to be hard on yourself, but don’t forget to be kind too. If you treated your friends the way you treat yourself, you probably wouldn’t have any friends left.
Being kind to yourself doesn’t make you selfish. With everything that’s going on in the world right now, it’s more important than ever to think about yourself and to be gentle and kind.
Here are a few things you can do to practice self-kindness.
Make time for yourself.
As a wife and a mother, I spend most of my day taking care of others. I always feel the need to be doing something, and I constantly need to remind myself to take a break for me. Everyone needs a little “me time” every once in a while. Find some time each day to do something you enjoy. Even just ten minutes can make a big difference in how you feel.
Recognize your achievements.
Often times we are quick to acknowledge other’s achievements and accomplishments but forget about our own. At the end of the day, acknowledge what you accomplished, no matter how small. Give yourself some credit for the work you do.
